It works exactly like you'd expect, it helps immensely with putting on decals, cutting, or scribing. Its smaller than I expected, as the base is only as big as the bottom of my computer mouse, but has a nice weight to it and is more than big enough for any size kit, at the same time you can easily use it anywhere
