Questions
Question
Why does it say that "raser" comes from "combining" gate & eraser, when it's just an abbreviated version of eraser alone?
Answer
I have been informed that the answer to my question likely involves the kanji: I think that they are referring to the Kanji, which if you take the katakana for "Gate" and "Eraser" ("Raisei" and "Erasua" respectively), and combine them, could end up with "Raiserua".

Question
Do you know if this is the 1.0 or the 1.5?
Answer
Likely the 1.5, as we believe they are only producing the updated version from here on out.

Question
Would sanding plastic cement with the Raser damage it in any way?
Answer
Plastic cement should not be leaving any residue during use. It’s a solvent that melts and bonds the plastic as it cures. You are left with plastic in the end. If using CA glue, it may not produce the same cutting power and finish as plastics.

Is there a lifespan to this product? How long should I expect this to perform properly? Ive had this product for a couple of years now and I feel like its not the same, I used it on every kit i built but i find my self using it less and less. does this degrade?

Buy this.
Ive used multiple brands/types of glass files. On a flat surface this...thing...file...(?) its great. It can leave odd scoring on surfaces if not moved at a straight line while filing, but thats your fault, not its. Its very good on anything not curved. I cannot recommend this thing more.

Genuinely worth it.
I was skeptical of the Raser at first, having had experience with off brand and even Dspaie’s glass files, deeming them “okay enough”, even when I’d end up with accidental gouges on my builds from me mishandling the glass file. I have yet to experience those kinds of mistakes with the Raser, and it’s MUCH more effective at eliminating nubs quickly than any other glass file. It’s my immediate go-to for nub removal now, and with proper manipulation, can get to some quite tight spaces. It’s genuinely worth the relatively high asking price, because you definitely get what you pay for.

Very Good File
This is a really great tool. It's cutting power is much higher than that of other glass files and closer to that of hardened metal files. Yet it doesn't leave any scratches and leaves the plastic smooth and shiny. It's extremely easy to clean and maintain. I would recommend this tool for anybody who does Gunpla or plastic miniatures in general.
There are a couple of downsides. One is that this tool is pretty big, it's not always easy to get into some tight spots. The other is that the cutting part of the file does not extend all the way to the edge of the file so you can sometimes attempt to file something and end up missing it completely.
