This is an absolutely phenomenal kit in almost every regard. The articulation is great, its unique color palette looks amazing (especially if you panel line it in brown), an it's the most fun I've ever had building an hg! The only flaw can find is the crotch pops out super easily. This a is pretty big annoyance but it doesn't make me enjoy it any less.

I have built the Revive version, however I enjoyed the build on this one much more. Great color separation. I painted the blue parts because the blue was a bit too pale for me. Also ended up painting the gun black metallic.

It’s tough to choose between this or the HGTO series RX78, but this one edged it out a bit for me in my collection unless you move up to MG. Easy and fantastic construction, the matte, dull bright finish and feel of the pieces is extraordinary. Tons of parts separation and anime accurate. Shines with or without panel lines. I think a combination of plastics, solid but unique construction, with detail really being this one together for me. The shield for example is all pass through, it shares a lot of the premium feel of the Turn A kit. Can’t wait to see the rest of the 40th anni kits coming. They all seem really premium, for not a lot.
