when should i buy a replacement file? i’ve used mine for about 7 months now, building usually everyday. still works okay but i can’t tell if it’s starting to dull

The glass file in this set is unlikely to dull very quickly if only used on model kits since the hardness difference between glass and polystyrene/ABS is vast. The amount of time between replacements will vary for everyone. If it no longer does its job, that may be the time to replace it.

If I have this should I even bother getting the the raser origin?
What's difference?
Answer
This is better for thicker nubs according to gunprimer's website and has a higher grit (around 240).
