Is this still the god awful binding? Or did they learn how to make a softcover?

Bought a copy of book 2 a few months ago and it has horrible binding to the point I'm afraid to open it too far so it doesn't fall apart.

ughhh, thanks much @Blueberry0192, and yea definitely fear opening it too much, I did so thinking I could flatten it out and the crap binding just fell apart completely :(

Why is there two listings for the same book?

One listing is just for book 2 and the other is for book 2 and book 2.5.
