If you're looking for a starter kit, the NT-1 is an ever-solid choice. The build is outdated and has a few flaws, but it's an excellent starting point for dipping your toes into customization - be it kitbashing, modding, or painting, which is good because it'll need some work to really shine.

I'll be honest, the HG Alex hasn't aged particularly well, especially compared to an even older kit like Gogg. Its articulation isn't particularly anything to scoff at, it basically requires a yellow paint marker to detail the verniers, and the Chobham armor comes out of box in an ugly greenish-gray color, which I painted over to make less gross. It'll look great on the shelf next to my FA-78 Gundam 7th, but other than also recommending it for who its pilot is, don't get this unless you're ready to deal with a 21 year old kit.

I would’ve given this 5 stars but the age of this kit shows in its articulation and build. However, if you decide to put in the work by painting and panel lining this model kit, it looks phenomenal. Try getting the waterslide decals for this one since stickers aren’t aesthetically appealing due to the outline.

Mostly a standard earlier high grade gundam. Has a lot of option parts / configurations for a high grade. Very few stickers, and no particularly difficult stickers. Loses one star because the beam saber is solid white, with no beam saber effect part. I build for lore reasons, so my reason for this one is because it was assigned male at birth but is piloted by a woman.
