3.70/5.00

I've done quite a lot from the witch from mercury line. This one feels very....spare. which makes sense for the anime because you only really see this model in the prologue and then you never see it again. It is, for obvious reasons, very similar to the aerial and aerial rebuild. Ok, so why the low score. The shield is sort of flat and is missing a lot of textural "pop", it just looks like flat plastic. The magenta-pink is a little over the top and reminds me of the masterpiece arcee from transformers. This falls in the middle of the pack for all of the hg wfm kits. I'd recommend it if you have already built a couple from this line and you want to have the whole aerial production history. For me I'd recommend once you're through all the bangers: schwartzette, gundvolva, garibalde, aerial, aerial rebuild, micahelis, beguir pente. This line is flush with riches, so it gets a lower rating. Still recommend but only in a particular case.

Customizable and Looks Good

The Lfrith isn't the most detailed color-wise, but that doesn't make it bad. The simplicity of the design is fun and makes sense considering it's supposed to be an experimental Gundam not ready for mass-production. Plus, it leaves tons of room for decals and designs. There was decent panel lining opportunity in the vanilla kit, although there is room for more. Mechanically, it's sturdy and, similar to it's later version, the Aerial, can pose well even without a stand. Articulation is completely fine and there shouldn't be issues with posing. Assembly was clean and simple, something that took me much less time than I had thought. If you want to try out some scribes and new panel lining, as well as custom builds, I highly recommended this kit out of the whole WFM series.

Gunpla Heaven

If this is the what we can expect from future high grades, Bandai is going to make some serious bank. I'll keep it brief so you can experience it yourself, but it's basically an MG (minus frame/panels/cockpit) in 1/144. It borrows a bit from the engineering perfected by recent 30MM models to create a very concise, fast build lacking polycaps that will still knock your socks off. Also, fiddling with the bit shield is nice, and the individual bits stay in place pretty well in either mode. PS: Buy the Beguir Beu at the same time, trust me you'll be wanting more and the two look great together.
