I bought this one because I thought it looked cool and I haven't built any of the new kits from TWFM. The plastic for this kit was top notch. Usually on a white kit like this you absolutely need a matte top coat but this one faired well without. The holographic details are a nice touch that don't overwhelm the rest of the kit. It plays well in the light and is just fun to look at. Comes with a giant gun which is always a bonus and an included stand. This kit honestly compels me to try other HG's from this series. Pleasure to build. My one criticism is that the head sculpt strays away from "gundam" and feels a little "guyver"ish.

Out of the whole series, the Calibarn is one of the best (the best in my personal opinion). It features a clean/simple design that isn't basic and was very fun posing. There are also options for activated or deactivated GUND Format (making it shine), allowing variation in the kit. Mechanically, I found it to be very sturdy and required absolutely no superglue, and even when (unfortunately) dropped, it completely retained its figure with every part. Articulation was easy with many poses to choose from, since you don't need to have the beam rifle equipped. Assembly was simple and easy, and you can take it apart easily if you need to. Additionally, panel lining was simple and felt like "just enough" where I didn't need to scribe anything. Possibly my only critiques on the kit were the part that attaches the beam rifle to the backpack was a little hard to maneuver at times and I couldn't really tell how to place the stickers on the beam rifle, although that may be my poor eyesight. Great build, if you want it, go for it!!!
