This is a repackaged version of the MG Wing Gundam Ver.Ka to commemorate the release of the Gundams from the Gundam Wing series into the EW ver. MG line up! The difference between this and the older version is that the white parts are no longer off-white, so the visual style will be much cleaner. Also, new marking decals designed by Hajime Katoki are included so you can customize the looks to your liking. Keep building your Gundam Wing MG collection with the eponymous Gundam today!

Sent the wrong product
Instead of the MG, they sent the Gundam Universe Figure version (supposedly "coming soon" so I could not have even ordered this). No replies. Was meant for my son's christmas gift (along with the Ver.ka for the older son); now I'm not even sure if I'll get it in time.

Two parts make this better than the original version
As far as coloration and decals go, the EW version goes for the same color schemes the RG uses - the traditional gunmetal grey for joints, rather than the brown in the Ver.Ka; bright white rather than the more subdued white for the armor; and decals more in line with the rest of the EW line (so unfortunately, no giant "Colonies Liberation Front" dry transfer, more's the pity). For example, the "base" sticker setup uses more "Caution" style stickers on the wings, one dry transfer for the ammo sleds rather than six caution stickers, and so on.
The main reason I'd pick this version over the Ver.Ka version is the addition of two specific parts: E42 and E43. These are actual base adapters for flight and MS mode, respectively. The flight adapter is kind of strange in that it's not physically clipped onto the Gundam, but rather held in place by the hip joints. It'll hold reasonably well in place, but you should hold it by the suit when moving the kit around, or risk a topple.
The kit is otherwise the same as the original Ver.Ka, with its odd insistence on using polycaps to hold the leg armor, the movable claws that don't actually seem to do anything, and the old hand parts that can't reliably hold onto the rifle. Still, it's a good starting point for people trying to get into MG kits who like Wing but can't find the TV Wing for some reason.
