Just as good as the standard RG Unicorn. Having the Banshee and the Unicorn standing next to each other on a shelf is a blessing you should give yourself. While not listed, the parts left over from the reused Unicorn runners can be used to recreate the Novel Version of the Banshee, wherein it doesn't have the Revolving Launcher on the Beam Magnum, the shield is the standard Unicorn shield, the backpack can be made without the XC, and the collar around the Banshees neck can be changed to the standard Unicorn collar. You can almost build an entirely black version of the Unicorn, but there is no V-Fin to create that. The build of the main body is exactly the same, however the head is different. The part that goes over the head cameras part is new so it can incorporate the new V-Fin. The Armed Armor XC is new to this kit. The Armed Armor DE could be a little better. The connections of the parts that go on the standard shield are not the strongest, and could pop off at times. The mount for the DE is also changed, however you cannot freely swivel it when it is attached to the arm. The Revolving Launcher is a fine addition. Simple, yet still adds more personality instead of just being a black Unicorn. Since it is a kit with primarily dark plastic, the Gate Remover Set by Gunprimer is recommended, however most of the nub marks are well hidden. As it is, again, a dark kit, the sticker style decals are NOT recommended, but the metallic stickers for the joints and the eyes are recommended to get a good look. I also recommend panting around the Destroy Mode eye piece and using the separate eye stickers, as the standard ones are very slim as compared to the anime.

Just as good as the original RG Unicorn, with the exact same issue of G35 not being strong enough to deal with the hilariously tight arm joint that feeds into it. As I said with the RG Unicorn, either lubricate that joint so it can move without needing the might of Hercules and also breaking its own connection point, or do what I did and that was literally holding the joint in boiling water for about 5 minutes, which helped loosen it up a bit, but by the lords it was extremely stiff. Otherwise, the Banshee beats out the RG Unicorn in terms of accessories, coming with the Armed Armor DE and that grenade launcher, but loses in terms of head mobility since the gold collar's spikes prevent the head from turning much.

As with the core Unicorn, its a good kit. One of the turning point kits between old (flawed) RGs and new (awesome) RGs. The only major issues come from the inner frame arm pieces, which are a bit stiff out of box. You need to GENTLY move them to get the articulation, etc. It was here where i snapped mine. I was able to jury-rig it to put it back together but regardless, its something to be aware of. Addtionally, the arm pivot parts (G35) are fragile and prone to cracking too. There are metal parts to replace them and I do recommend them. overall, its awesome. Great details, decent color (the gold is hideous but paintable like mine) and solid articulation for poses.
