Judging by the photos, it seems like the one on the MG 2.0 should work, meaning you probably can give a guntank the body of the RX-78-2 2.0

The guncannon does not fit but the RX-78-2 ver. 3.0 fits along with the body. Be aware that the skirt piece from the 3.0 is a little shorter (1/8 of an inch or 1.5mm) than that of the guntank so the place where the core fighter attaches is visible. Also these pieces are not interchangeable between the 3.0 and guntank.
