Questions

Question
The name of this kit is really concerning. Zyklon was the gas used to mass murder Jew during the holocaust- Has there been any justification for it?
Answer
I'm sure Newtype can't answer any questions about the name of this kit, so it's best to contact Sheik Mainland about it. For some context, the word 'zyklon' in German means 'cyclone', which is fine on its own. However, I can see how it would be 100% problematic if it were followed up with 'B' though.

Yeah, it is concerning, but as StardustMecha stated, Newtype won't be able to answer this question. I will say, however, that there are a few considerations to take into account. First, this was the original name from when it was released a few years back. Almost immediately after, they changed the name to "Zi-Kron" to escape the criticism. Additionally, they are based in China, and many asian countires face the problem of having less education regarding WWII and the atrocities that occurred. There's a good chance the naming department simply saw this in passing in relation to WWII, didn't know what it was, and didn't research further. Let me be clear, I am in no way defending this, but I wanted to provide some more context as to what may have happened.
