Disclosure: This review is based on the Moroccan Front version from P-Bandai, which uses the same mold but in different colors and options. This is what everyone was waiting for: a GTO version of the classic RGM-79 GM. This uses the same mold as the P-Bandai exclusive Sleggar and Moroccan front versions, and the engineering is top-tier. If you're used to older HG kits, the color separation and posing gimmicks will feel more reminiscent of an RG. Namely the V on the crotch which is independently color separated, and the armor separation on the legs where the knees 'float' as you bend the leg. It also comes with a left hand trigger, allowing you to put together a 'dual trigger' build for all you Armored Core fans out there. Ultimately I'm going to grab a couple of these when I get my backlog down. They are fantastic kits for old and new modelers alike, with the detail expected of the HGGTO line and it more than earns its $30 price tag.

You get yourself a well articulated & designed classic grunt suit along with a plethora of accessories to apply onto the kit. In case you wonder, yes you can add just about all the weapons onto the suit at once apart from a missile pod AND it's able to stand on its own with good stability. Even after you apply all the marking stickers (if you choose to do so), you’re left with an extensive amount of markings leftover to use as your hearts content. The only notable aspect to keep in mind are the mold lines on some of the parts, especially on the missile pods. Other than that, I highly recommend this to anyone who likes Federation grunts.
