Note: This kit includes parts to build either the 01 FSD, the Local Type NA front, or a color-swapped standard Local Type. I personally love the Local type and its derivatives, so this is like music to my ears. The Local type itself is an incredibly solid kit, and the extra Heavy-Gundam-esque bits make it even cooler. The arm machine gun is probably the coolest thing in an HG to date, and it builds and poses perfectly. The red visor is an actual separate piece of clear plastic ON TOP of the eyes, which is the way Yas' illustrated it in the Origin manga. My only tiny gripe is that the attachment point for the shield fits one the beam saber holster on the left forearm and it's really hard to decouple the two parts without breaking one. I'd definitely pick up this alongside an NA Local or just two of this one so you can have the extra parts to customize and mess around with. Bonus: If you get two you can equip double shoulder cannons! Looks especially great with the Zaku anti-ship rifle.

The first time I saw this kit, the black/dark brown(?) didn't impress me, but having repeatedly looked at it online, I fell in love with it and had to have it. Having built it, my only complaint with it is the v sticker on the crotch. It's so small that it would move even if you just looked at it wrong and now it's gone. But it's a simple fix with a dash of paint.
