Question
I currently tape my bottles to my sawzall to shake my paints. How does this work exactly? Yeah Im that guy
Answer
It's akin to the mixers used in high school science class. It uses a magnetic "pill" that is dropped into the paint then put on top of the stand. The mixer spins the magnet thereby mixing the paint.

Zero speed control
First time I've ever actually been disappointed with a Dspiae product. The 20 included stir rods are 440c steel and work perfectly with the mixer. Unfortunately, being steel these will outright rust in water, and after 5 days in X20A acrylic thinner (only thinner, no paint) there is noticeable corrosion on the rods. After 5 days in Mr Leveling Thinner there is no noticeable effect so these are good for lacquers.
To try and resolve this I got some PTFE magnetic stir bars, but they will not work nicely with the Dspiae mixer no matter what size of stir bar I try. The dspiae mixer spins *too fast* for them, causing the magnet to slip and bounce the stir bar frantically around the jar, and in order to get them to work I need to place 1 pound 5 oz of weight on top of the paint jar to slow the motor down enough to not lose the PTFE stir bars.
The product listing states it can be used with battery or AC, and spins at about half the speed on battery, but when I open the battery compartment on the bottom up there is literally nowhere to put batteries, so I am unable to test this missing feature. The instruction booklet also makes absolutely no mention of battery power.
2 stars only because it works with it's own included stir rods but these stir rods are not ideal for long term use. Overall, this is a nice product that is seriously held back by it's lack of a speed control device.

Not enough power
Doesn't work as intended whatsoever idk what these other people are talking about but it will barley mix paint and it vibrates across the table and if the paint bottle or jar is not in the exact right spot rod doesn't spin

Works good but there's a caveat
Don't use the unit with acrylic paints as the water seems to remove the coating. Also you can use magnetic rods from amazon with the unit.
