Looks absolutely stunning, but not perfect

This kit is absolutely gorgeous when finished. It’s exactly the same as the DeathScythe EW minus a few small difference in the arms and the obvious backpack. So if you’ve built that it’ll be a breeze and even if you haven’t, these EW kits are really simple yet very fun. My only complaint with this build is the arm shields don’t really hold on very well. You actually build that piece on this kit where the regular DeathScythe has a one piece connection for its shield, which holds on much better. The 2 for the this kit don’t really stay attached so they will require some sort of glue. Other than that, this kit is perfect!

A bit of a pain

I'll preface this by saying I've only been into the hobby for about 5 months now. In that time, I've done 20+ kits. Some MGs, some RGs, and a lot of HGs. MG Deathscythe has been my least favorite of all of them. I had 2 pieces break on me just by clipping them from the runners. Like, the plastic was so brittle, the pieces broke from the recoil of being released from the runner itself. The wings gave the most trouble, but it was mostly my fault. Once the wing are put together, they are not meant to come apart ever again. I relatives I put them together wrong, and it took me about 20 minute to get them apart because ai was afraid the entire time that they might break in the process. Nub marks were hard to nearly impossible to get rid of with my limited tool set. Anyway, I'd give the overall building experience a 2 out of 5, but the shelf presence a good 4 out of 5. Averaging out to a 3 overall.

First Master Grade

This was the first MG I built, recently. It's a pretty awesome kit that made me realize this hobby is for me, it inspired me to get more tools after researching more about how people customize their gunplas- I remember when building the legs I stopped and admired the articulation before the armor plates. There were a couple of ISSUES: (again I'm new to the hobby so.. yeah) the skirt attachments (6 of them) don't really fit well, they will fall off usually if handling the model. posing them is fine if you don't touch if afterwards, the only other issue I can think of is the wings, they're a little clunky buildin, and the plastic is a large, super smooth surface; So be careful not to let pressure cause a crease mark. Other than that I really enjoy this guy and am brainstorming ideas of customizing him to look more like the modern builds!
