First Master Grade

This was the first MG I built, recently. It's a pretty awesome kit that made me realize this hobby is for me, it inspired me to get more tools after researching more about how people customize their gunplas- I remember when building the legs I stopped and admired the articulation before the armor plates. There were a couple of ISSUES: (again I'm new to the hobby so.. yeah) the skirt attachments (6 of them) don't really fit well, they will fall off usually if handling the model. posing them is fine if you don't touch if afterwards, the only other issue I can think of is the wings, they're a little clunky buildin, and the plastic is a large, super smooth surface; So be careful not to let pressure cause a crease mark. Other than that I really enjoy this guy and am brainstorming ideas of customizing him to look more like the modern builds!

Awesome kit with easily fixable problems

Aside from nub marks, the only real issue I have is that the skirting pops off too easily, but with some glue or paint it’s not a problem! One of my favs!

Majestic black winged MG

The giant black wings and scythe make for an impressive display on the shelf. The build itself is simple, but the head/wings were a bit frustrating to get together. The articulation is decent, but the waist armor falls off frequently if you aren't careful. These things are easy to tighten up, so not a big deal. Love how this kit looks in the end, especially with a flat topcoat.

A series lover must have...

If you love Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz, then this is a kit I can reccomend. I was looking for the TV version but came up empty handed on that quest. Things to point out is this kit will take a little extra effort if you want to avoid stress marks and have the parts fit together at their best. The wings are solid and take some added effort to move after being constructed. They can also be a little sharp if you put in effort to sand them. The scythe does take some effort to position when trying to pose the kit and I wish it had the double blade design. But bandai made that part of a expansion get more money???, maybe adding it to kits and raise the price to adjust for it? The wings wrapping around the front doesn't really work all that great, the kit looks better with them open and extended up to give that ominous look Deathscythe really needs. But hey, if you take the time it can come out great. Most disappointing part is the lack of panel lines. The kit does have some nice dry transfers but I'm more comfortable using water slides. The learning curve and marginal benefits of the tiny sheet of dry transfer isnt worth the effort if I'm getting a decal set anyway. I think it would be a great kit for some customization. The skirts are the most annoying part as they are with all the EW line of kits. But even with zero decals and a few visible marks where I was going a bit fast, it still looks really good. I love Deathscythe in all its forms. Every kit has its shortcomings, and I can definitely recommend this kit.
