Overall: 9.5 out of 10 kit! I took a swing with this one as my first Non-Bandai model kit and it did not disappoint. It’s got great color separation and a ton of undergating so the final product looks great without much work. It comes with water slide decals and it’s own action base. All pieces fit securely, nothing needed to be snapped extra hard, no extra sanding other than nubs, and the joints feel good. The joints are all a combo of metal and plastic so they should hold up for a long time. My only real complaints about this kit are: 1.) There’s no indication of what kind of plastic each runner is (someone more experienced may be able to tell by look/feel). Normally there are labels in the manual and on the runner but I couldn’t find a label anywhere. And 2.) There are two gates right on the spine of the plated katana and the plastic underneath is green. This might be fixable with a metallic paint marker, but it’s a little annoying.
