1/144 Red Lobster

Model Kit
$45
Out of stock

Blazing onto the battlefield in a vivid crimson finish, the WildFire Model Red Lobster is a bold, high-mobility mecha kit designed to dominate both ground and aerial displays. With its aggressive silhouette, layered armor, and powerful propulsion system, the Red Lobster delivers a striking balance of speed, firepower, and visual impact.

The kit showcases sharp mechanical panel lines and angular armor plating throughout its sleek frame. Large rear booster units and extended leg thrusters emphasize its high-output mobility, while the streamlined torso and flared shoulder armor give it a dynamic combat stance. The vibrant red armor is complemented by dark inner-frame accents, creating strong contrast and depth straight out of the box.

Armed for all-range combat, the Red Lobster is equipped with a long beam rifle and beam sabers, allowing for dramatic action poses. Its articulated structure supports dynamic mid-air stances and aggressive battle displays, making it an eye-catching centerpiece in any 1/144 scale collection.

it looks excellent, but...

it looks excellent, but is a show piece, if you built the hazenthley form Pbandai you know its articulation is limited, the bottom half is too heavy and while it can stand it wants to do the splits the arms can never properly hold the cannon, unless it is across the body, and the beam saber is a toothpick. it has the same problems as all kits derived from the woundwort. but given that any kit done by bandai is going to be over 100 having this for under 50 is an excellent alternative

Looks great but has issues

I would like to preface this review by saying that I really do enjoy the kit and I would recommend it, maybe not for someone just getting into the hobby, but I would recommend it. The bulletpoint about the kit having "Dynamic articulation for action-oriented posing" is a partial lie. I knew going in that this kit was likely to be a statue since the gundam it is based on has kits that are basically statues, but even though the TR-6 Haze'n-thley II and the Rah version are mono-pose model kits, they don't have have missing joints. I'm unsure if the Re-haze is supposed to have knee joints or not, all the imagery created by Dengeki Hobby regarding the mobile suit design do not have angles that are easy to determine the fact, but every armor-up variant of the Woundwort that keeps it as a mobile suit, as far as I am aware, still has them, so I'm making the assumption that the Re-haze was intended to have them. This can't really be a fault on the model itself though, I am just frustrated that I do not have the option to pose the kit with as much freedom as I would like, disregarding the instability that may cause. And on the topic of instability, although I'm aware this doesn't come with a base, it doesn't appear that the usage of one was thought of at all during the design process. The waist unit has no peg holes in it that would allow any bases to be attached anywhere. The only place I found while building it was the Woundwort thorax bulb that comes with just about every variant of one which makes me wonder how we are meant to replicate the posing shown in the promotional imagery? I simply do not trust the only attachment point because the center of mass of the kit is likely to make it fall over or might have the thorax simply detach from the waist if held in a flying pose for long periods of time because of the weight being put onto it. Keeping up with the instability, Wildfire Model decided to keep the classic Woundwort 3 piece hands, which despite looking nice do not hold the beam rifles the Woundwort line is known for very well. I would have expected them to beef up something about the hands for this kit, since the beam rifle on this one is bigger than the original Woundwort version but it seems I expected wrong. So expect to have to do some finagling while posing in order to make sure the beam rifle doesn't flop down or fall out of the hand of the kit. Overall I would recommend it though, despite everything I've had to say about the bad things it has going for it, since it looks phenomenal. I honestly don't have much to say about the good parts because my only metric for enjoying a kit is whether or not I like the look of it, and I do really like the look of this one. But I would say that if you intend to replicate the flying poses shown in the promotional imagery that I would absolutely not, unless you're prepared to experiment with bases or modifying the waist to have a peg hole.

Advance of Zeta Quality

This is obviously the ReHaize. Just as Neo Zeon stole the Hazenthley and painted it red, according to the lore, “Wildfire Models” has somehow produced this incredible work of space piracy. At half the price which Bandai would have charged. I painted mine green.
