SP-S02 Multi-Sufrace Primer User Guide:

1. This Multi-surface Primer can be used on PP, copper, aluminum foil, glass, stainless steel, etc. It greatly improves the adhesion between pigmented paints and metal surfaces.

2. No need to dilute. Just spray a layer of wet spray directly and then start to color after at least 12 hours of drying.

3. It is recommended to use 1.2kg (or more) of spray air pressure and use it in a well-ventilated area.

4. The preset dilution ratio is for 0.5mm airbrushes. For 0.3mm airbrushes (or below), it is recommended to add diluent (SC-03) as appropriate to improve the smoothness of spraying.

Directions:

1. Shake well and use in a well-ventilated area.

2. Apply 1 wet coat at 18 psi (1.2 bar).

3. It is recommended to let dry for at least 12 hours before applying paint.

Questions

Question
When it refers to PP, is that the same as the plastic used in gundams as it mentions only metal in other places
Answer
PP in this case most likely refers to polypropylene - a type of plastic. Gundams are mostly made of ABS and PS plastic.

Question
Is it clear primer? And what kind of solution should I use to clean the airbrush after using? Thanks
Answer
Question
Given that Odenkan products are currently on clearance (i.e. likely not carried anymore), are there any thinners other than Odenkan's SC-03 that will work with this primer? I've already tested my Mr. Hobby lacquer thinners and can confirm they are NOT compatible.

Totally Non-Functional

I would rate it lower if I could, because the product I received absolutely does not work. The product is NOT pre-thinned as described on the store page, and it's even called out on the packaging that it's not pre-thinned (although right below that is a graphic saying that it is? See attached photo.) While I don't have Odenkan's proprietary SC-03 thinner, I have a variety of other hobby-use lacquer thinners which are described as functionally equivalent to it (and which have worked just fine with every other Odenkan paint I've used). I have tried thinning this product with every lacquer-compatible thinner in my collection, up to and including straight acetone, and NOTHING will properly dissolve this primer. To be clear, this stuff is like thick syrup in the bottle. There is absolutely no way you're putting this through an airbrush without thinning it, and NOTHING thins it. It just clumps up into gooey blobs in the bottom of the mixing dish. This is the only Odenkan product that I've had any sort of problem with, and I half wonder if I got a defective batch.
