Is this the same airbrush as the Sparmax SP-20X? I know it's produced in collaboration with Sparmax, but are there any differences?

Yes, but the .2mm airbrush and they have .3 & .5mm kits that come with everything you need. It is handy to have multiple airbrushes on hand with different nozzles though.

October 9, 2022This is a 0.2mm airbrush. The size of the airbrush determines the nozzle and needle sizes. Thus, each size is not compatible with each other.

A little bummed Madworks discontinued this
This brush is scary good for the price. I wish they were going to continue to offer this one, even with the Mr. Pro release. Fortunately, parts will continue to be available from Sparmax since the SP-20X is the same format. If you are looking for a 0.2mm, try this one.

Pretty nice airbrush
I mainly got this .2 airbrush for doing shading for 1/144 kits since my .3 from Master Airbrush is difficult to get in close for finer details.

Really nice
I'm pretty new to airbrushing but I enjoy using this brush. The construction is very solid and the trigger feels nice and is easy to keep control of. I bought it on sale for ~$60 and it seems worth it and a nice step up from generic brushes. No issues with clogging either, I've even sprayed primer out of this thing and it's had no issues.
