a means to an end

as all of you may know at this point: all but one wfm hgs do not come with open hands (darilbalde & schwarzette excluded). this dinky little backpack is the only way you can get these open hands for the aerial, aerial rebuild, & calibarn. i mean yeah, the flight unit looks decent enough but most of us buying this are in it for the widespread fingies.

not real impressive

I guess it's fine, for what it is... I'm not really expecting too much from a $10 add-on kit... But there's really not a lot to it. I was really surprised at the amount of stickers in this build. And they're thicker, papery stickers that don't want to bend nicely. Also - the open hands for the Gundam Aerial really feel like they should've been included in that base HG kit.

Good, but overall meh

The HG Mirasoul Flight Unit is just that. Nothing more, nothing less. If you’re getting this option set, then odds are you’re only getting it for the hands. But who wants to pay $11 for a pair of hands? This is very good for recreating the Aerial Vs. Pharact fight since the only reason this thing exists is that. The plastic is highly prone to marking, as it is a darker plastic and barely any nubs are hidden since it’s a HG. Unfortunately this kit also relies heavily on stickers. The sub-thrusters that can be pulled out of both of the wings need a total of eight stickers. Four black stickers for the black sections, and four gray stickers for the gray sections. It also requires stickers for the gray section behind the main thrusters in the wings. The thrusters themselves are also not color accurate, as they should be the same yellow as the part in the middle of the unit. The white lines on the sides and the rear are stickers as well, and they are the thin and long type stickers, and the kit is designed in a way that the white stickers will lightly bend over a part, and it will not stick if you mess it up a bit. This kit also does not have beam sabers you can just slap in there and use with only the Mirasoul, you will need to constantly swap back and forth with the standard backpack of the Aerial for it, but if that doesn’t bother you, then that’s all good. This kit does also add a bit more display to the kit, as it now makes the Aerial (or Demi Trainer if you want) have a bit more mass to the back. Overall, this kit is meh, but it’s good for the hands.
