Man this is a hidden gem
Man. I bought this and thought it was gonna be really bad, but mine is very sturdy and the transformation is actually really smooth and not as daunting as it seems. The details on the armor are a bit lacking, but when in destroy mode the super detailed psycho frame comes out. As a guy who mainly collects 1/144 scale, this thing is massive, a 10/10 perfect display piece for me, but most the reviews are not kind to this thing.

Mixed feelings
This is a good kit but I think it's ultimately too fragile. It's beautiful but i feel like it'll fall apart if I look at it the wrong way.

A great looking 1/100 Unicorn but only for Unicorn mode.
This was my first Master Grade and I rather enjoyed the build and the final product, especially so after putting on the decals and giving it a top coat to protect the dry transfers (which are so cool btw). The posing isn't fantastic in the legs especially at the knee, it gets to about a 90°, the feet move rather well so if you're going for a standing pose you'll be able to get it, the arms and head are well articulated as well - the head movement is leagues better than the RG imo. So yeah it looks good, it poses good, so why the 4 star rating ? Well the issues with Unicorn come in with the transformation.. I've given it two goes and I can tell you I won't be giving it a third ! The first time around I got the chest open just fine, shoulders, waist and most of the legs. The issue came in with the ankle section and that's where I called it the first time - a few days later I tried it again and this time I started with the legs and got to the ankle.. here's where broken part #1 came. You see you're supposed to unclip the latches on the ankle then pull down, simple enough. Issue is the part that you have to grab is a fairly thin set of pieces that make up the white ankle armor and they're held together with a piece that slots in, now what happens when you exert force on a thin material ? Yup, it experiences stress and breaks ! Luckily I was able to put it back together and you'd never notice an issue. Broken part #2 came from the chest, I managed to get half the chest open and was working on the other half when my finger slipped and I heard a strange sound then the sound of plastic hitting the table. Somehow I managed to break this probably 1mm piece of armor clean off, thankfully it slots back on fairly well and if it's just sitting there you'd never notice it.
Ultimately I believe the issue is the plastic itself. It's an ABS frame, ABS psycho frame and if you know anything about ABS you know just how crazy its grip is. So what ends up happening is you get a super sturdy kit but it's so tight and grippy that it doesn't want to move, be it to transform or to pose. Which I forgot to mention: the hips on this thing are absolutely insanely tight and you'll probably want to use some form of lubricant on them just so you're able to move them without the leg unit flying off across the table.. which happened to me ! Seriously that happened.
