This was a really fun little build and it looks great just as a straight build. I recently built some SD cross silhouette kits and really liked there proportions and this kit seemed similar but I really enjoyed all of the sharp detail in this kit. It has way more runners than an SD kit and the amount of details in it reminded me of what the moon gundam did for high grades. Of course its not gunpla so you can directly compare it, but to me its like a nice hybrid of between SD and HG style kits. It's slightly bigger then SD kits and definitely bulkier. It also has a ton of leftover pieces on the runners. You have enough to build the regular blue ExCreR in black, except for the one clear piece needed for the gun. I still built the gun without the piece and have mine decked out with armaments! If you are not a fan of SD style kits because of the lack of articulation and color accuracy then don't worry. The articulation isn't great, but it definitely gives enough to get some nice expressive poses. There are 3 sets of hands: regular holding hands/fist, angeled holding hands for slashing poses, and open expressive hands. It has really nice parts separation and the bigest color inaccuracy is on the forearm, but the detail on the part makes it look nice as is. As someone who just straight builds then I highly recommend this kit. I will warn that some parts are really tight and snug fits so if you plan to paint or customize it in any way then be sure to do so before the build.
