I'm going to quickly reiterate a common theme from most reviews on this series: it is VERY hard to put together. Despite only having three (on others four) runners and under 60 parts, it took me about the same time as a long HG kit or a short MG to put together. This kit (and the other one in the series) are true tests of endurance and the limits of human sanity, but when put together they (mostly) stay that way and look good even without paint. The plastic used is ABS and feels a bit tougher than PS, but it cuts out fine and seldom breaks or bends. The only exception to this is the v-fin, which I stupidly made into a check-mark when I pushed a little too hard on the head and severed the left fin. Overall, if you like the Byarlant, want something challenging, or just something different, I would recommend this kit on the condition that you be prepared to seek immediate religious/mental health counseling because of the trauma assembling this kit entails. Also, have fun icing your fingers if you're like me and build the EX-S right after.
