The plastic is the cheapest, crappiest plastic possible. The body is only about 1.25mm thick, and sounds extremely hollow. The clutch is also just an extension of the cheap plastic handle. See picture. The collar is too light to even be aluminum, so I have to conclude that it's probably coated plastic. Even with the clutch fully tightened, you can hear the chisel rattle inside if you shake the thing. Mind you this is brand new and I picked it up from the warehouse earlier today. I feel so scammed. I can't believe I paid $12 for something made out of the same plastic as those $.20 plastic toys that you get at corporate events. This is worse than just holding the chisel in your hand.
