The build on this isn't all that bad. The only weird part is the blue pieces that go over the joint connecting the wings on the backpack don't snap together flush. There's a small gap between them on both sides. Seems intentional, but not 100% sure. Out of the box the shoulder joints are/were loose, so they need to be dealt with if you want it holding anything upright. The kit CAN stand on it's own if you spread the wings wide out to it's sides. Otherwise it's a good looking kit, but it's also an early RG, so give it some TLC if you plan on posing it around a bunch, or set it, and forget it.

A base almost feels mandatory for this because of its wings and guns.

Wasn't expecting the RG Freedom Gundam to be as good as it was, all the parts came together and the detailing is pretty nice, it can't stand up on its own without a stand, but every kit with a big backpack has that problem.

Title says it all but here we go: This kit is a hand grenade. Get the MG 2.0, after building both, I want to build another MG because it was a great build, and I want to throw this RG in the trash can. Not a fan of the advanced ms joints on this one. Is it convenient that the arms and legs are whole prebuilt sections, sure, but they're a pain. and the "PG" style hands with individual moving fingers are rather weak and easy to warp. Posing is a pain, pieces fall off. it's a night and day from the MG 2.0. Detail on this kit is good, but not worth it. spend the extra $25ish and get the MG. You'll thank yourself.

The build on this kit was pretty decent, it doesn't balance well on it's feet and is kind of weak at the waist, but overall it's a good kit.
