The quality was outstanding,very good kit for those who like a challenge,definitely recommend this kit,just be careful on the hands because the fingers kept popping out of the hands at the ball joints,and they wont wrap all the way around the beam sabers without the fingers popping out of place. Also it was a very frustrating and complex build,not recommended for beginners,if you are a beginner,start off with some hg's and work your way up until you think your ready to build this one,and remember,don't give up on your builds.

is it worth buying the yellow LED unit for the head

If you want the extra detail, then yes definitely (even if you plan on just doing a straight build otherwise). Installing the LED itself is really simple, all you've got to do is just pop off the head by the base of the neck (the yellow 'collar') and it opens right up without any unscrewing (you will need a screwdriver to open the LED battery compartment though). You're also going to need two LR41 batteries, the ones you can pretty commonly find usually come in packs of eight or ten, which is great because they don't last super long anyway so you'll have replacements ready to go when they do burn out.
