It's like night and day, the MG is superior in quite literally every area you mentioned (and I'd argue that the IBO inner frame is one of the best model kits Bandai has ever made. Seriously, it feels like a PG in a lot of ways; and the very few flaws in articulation, mainly the shoulders and waist which are still passable on this one, have been addressed in the MG Vidar and Lupus) This one may be $20 cheaper on the sticker but it feels like it's $40 cheaper in terms of build and plastic quality/detail because the MG feels like a $60-70 kit, it's just that good.

Are the hands that come in this kit as color separated as shown on the box

No, but they're designed so you can swap in the white parts from the HG Lupus. None of the models of the Lupus or Rex include color-accurate fingertips unfortunately, not even the upcoming MG of the former which at this point doesn't make sense as we know Bandai has had the ability to print multiple colors of plastic in a single part since the F90 kits from 30 years ago. Some of the action figures like the Universe and Metal Build do though but those come painted out of the box.

Looks to be a third-party version of the FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam 7th, there's an official Bandai HG too
