Love the design. Would be nice if the undergating was only on the fancy painted parts. LED looks great. Weapon options are great.
The markings for the Sleeves are beautifully color separated, which saved me quite a bit of time and paint. I liked seeing how it incorporated 3 previous molds into one kit, especially with the frame and the articulation. However, the articulated hands did pop apart on me while building. But a little glue fixed that issue quickly. If you’ve got the money and don’t like painting little details, get this Stein.
The title sums up how I feel about these. Anything 1 or 1.5 mm doesn’t hold on to the parts, and if they do hold on, they don’t even work for tightening joints. I only got this for my MG Exia, and that’s the only kit I plan on keeping these on for.
The three shades of painted gold look nice when mixed with each other and the injection colors. The Plastic Gemstone stickers add a nice bit of dimension to the figure. The waterslides are decent. But the engineering of the metal etching stickers is dumb. Why would they make the sticky side and side stuck to the green sheet be on opposite sides? Aside from that, I definitely recommend adding this to your collection.
Overall, the kit is pretty stable despite s few things wobbling when it’s shaken. The stickers are pretty cool. Most of them have the design on the sticky side. The decals aren’t overwhelming but are easy to work with. There are a lot of undergates, though, and some of them are harder to reach. The articulated hands aren’t prebuilt on any runners, so building them may require some magnifying lenses and tweezers. It’s definitely something that I would recommend for anyone who has the experience with model kits.
It’s a good kit. The build goes smoothly, it can hold itself up well, even if the surface is shaken. Some joints will likely need tightening. The monoeye articulation is nicely designed, but Katoki’s original design makes it hard to see. I do hope that a future RG Sinanju Stein uses a new frame, though.
It’s such an amazing build, the end result is so satisfying. This guy is such an event that I can’t recommend it enough. The best part is that he’s bigger, YET CHEAPER, that the MG Sinanju trio makes it even better. The only complaint that I really have is that the gates on some parts are placed in weird spots that are difficult to clean up. Still though, get this beast if you can. The cloak makes it all the more awesome.

Is it two separate manuals for the Strike Rouge and the Skygrasper? I can only see the SR’s manual
February 17, 20261 Answer:
Looking at Dalong it appears that there is a separate manual for the Skygrasper, but it's basically just a copy of the original's manual (only real difference is the cover and lack of color pages in the middle like most MG/RG/PGs) which makes sense as the only difference between this version and the original is a slight change in part coloration, the assembly is 100% the same and you can use the manual from the original to make this version or vice versa (This also applies to the Aile pack). You can find the manual here: https://manual.bandai-hobby.net/menus/detail/653

Does it include a Dark Matter esque mask?
February 1, 2025Why isn’t the PDF of the manual available for this?
January 20, 20251 Answer:
It's technically a P-Bandai kit that for some reason has been released as standard retail in the US, which unfortunately means its manual isn't available through Bandai's info repository that Newtype uses. The closest comparisons would probably be the Red Frame Kai or Blue Frame 2R if you don't mind looking at a close relative, since all of the Astray MGs use nearly identical bodies and this kit's swords are almost 100% identical to the aforementioned versions, so really the only things that you couldn't find elsewhere would be the crest and backpack/rack system

No. It’s more so the primary predecessor of the MGEX, due to how it was engineered long before MGEX was even a concept in Bandai’s arsenal.
February 4, 2024Action bases 2 and 5 are the normal ones recommended for a standard sized 1/144 scale kit. But 1 and 4 can also work.
