This is an absolutely phenomenal kit in almost every regard. The articulation is great, its unique color palette looks amazing (especially if you panel line it in brown), an it's the most fun I've ever had building an hg! The only flaw can find is the crotch pops out super easily. This a is pretty big annoyance but it doesn't make me enjoy it any less.

This is a nice, fun build that beginners would love with amazing articulation! I only have a few gripes with it, one is the colored piece on the chest isn't very secure. That being said the pre painted piece looks great, but it's disappointing (and understandable) that you have to use stickers for the other ones. Another thing I find disappointed me is the amount of c clips used on this. Also I'm not a fan of it only including closed holding hands. These issues are understandable considering how cheap and detailed it is. Anyway besides these minor issues I recommend this.
Cleans paint really well, but has a very toxic scent. This is most likely caused by the toxic qualities of the product.
They work very well, but there are cheaper alternatives like the mr hobby ones
very easy to use, and gives great detail. way better then the pens
It a pretty nice beginners kit. Only flaw is the the yellow v wing can easily snap
There's too many polycaps and I don't like that you can only build one of the heads
This would be an outstanding kit if it weren't for the posable hands. The problem is that they don't really hold the weapons. Other then that it's a fun build

will this require soldering?

No, it is plug-and-play (for the most part). the housing and other parts may need assembly but the lights are pre-wired with connectors to attach to the control unit.

Do the beam sabers come with beams, if not are they compatible with standard hg beams?

There is only one usable beam saber handle in the kit (the double-ended one on the backpack) and it does not fit standard beams.

Out of the bottle, no. You’ll want to add leveling thinner to slow down drying time so you can work longer with it on a brush and have it self-level as it dries to lessen the presence of brush strokes.

I'd recommend thinning it to a 1:1 ratio then adding more if needed
