Can I use this on ABS? For example, the Flame Toys TF kits.
November 19, 20241 Answer:
Probably not the safest for bare ABS (or any other plastic). Used sparingly, it may be okay. Best is to coat the pieces in a clear first before using this.

What's the difference between these and the Ultimate ones?
November 18, 20242 Answers:
The blades on this are thicker than the SPN-120 and can handle slightly larger gates/harder materials but may produce stress marks more readily.

This one is safer to use for clipping pieces off runners if you're using a two cut method as they're thicker than the SPN-120s.

What are the big differences between this and the MG version?
February 20, 20241 Answer:
Totally different molds, with this NG being a lot smaller and blockier overall and the MG being superior in basically every way. It's basically a big HG of that time with no internal frame and limited detailing, though at least it's mostly color-accurate. Overall a it's cheaper alternative to the MG but if you can I'd really recommend getting said MG, I also think they probably reprinted it just to go along with the other 1/100 Destiny kits that are getting reprinted for larger lineup.

Can these nippers cut hard clear plastic (Such as the clear plastic on the destroy mode Unicorn Gundam) and rubbery plastic (Like beam sabers)?
July 4, 20231 Answer:
Yes to both. As long as the gates are under 3mm across and you don’t use the blade tip to cut harder plastics, you shouldn’t have any issues. Always make perpendicular cuts as side cuts puts undue stress on the blade and may cause it to snap.

Can these cut clear and rubber runners? Also are they as fragile as the Ultimate nippers?
March 6, 20231 Answer:
These are Godhand’s “basic” nippers. They are not as brittle as SPN120 but also don’t give the clean stress-mark-free cut.
