This was one of the first Zaku variants I fell in love with in the franchise, and the kit holds up very well to my expectations. The color palette is amazing, the wires into the rifle are a cool touch, my only gripe is the stickers. The sniper rifle has two scopes, and the smaller one has a tiny green foil sticker for the lens. This is perhaps the hardest sticker on the kit, but one of the only 4 in the entire build. This kit mostly uses the same mold as the regular HGUC Zaku I from the mid-2000s, so it comes with the machine gun and a slot for the bazooka shoulder rest (this is hidden by a filler panel instead of including the shoulder rest). I'd definitely encourage you to kitbash this thing with the normal Zaku I and the Black Tri-Stars Zaku I. This kit comes with plenty of hand variations, so use them on other kits of similar size that are lacking them. IMPORTANT: THE FRONT SKIRTS COME SEPARATED. HALLELUJAH. The polycap joints can be quite stiff and produce some seamlines, but nothing you can't hide or fix easily. The head antenna also likes to fall off with minimal pressure, and the monoeye unfortunately is static. Overall, I highly recommend this kit for any Zeon mobile suit enthusiast.

This kit was my fifth GUNPLA kit ever, and it is the most disappointing so far. This kit could've been color accurate in several places with molded parts instead of stickers, yet Bandai of course chose the cheaper option of spamming stickers on this thing. The blue is also not as vibrant as I would've expected. It doesn't catch the light well. Beware the pinkish-red symbols on the legs and shoulders. These are by far the worst stickers of all. They accomplish the look but are very thin, long, and flimsy. Application is harder than I'd expect from a HG. If I wanted this much difficulty, I'd have bought the MG or Full Mechanics kit. And even with all these stickers, it is STILL color inaccurate on the left-arm shield and the shoulder armor vents (should be yellow), as well as other small parts. Forget the stickers, just paint it. Additionally, the big gun comes in HGIBO parts set 1, which is a disappointment. I knew this before buying, but still, come on Bandai. For weapons this kit only comes with the mace and katana. This kit gets an extra star for impressive articulation, including TOE BEND. THAT was unexpected, and is the only thing carrying this kit to a 3-star rating. I would've given it a 2-star otherwise. I'm only keeping this kit because I want to improve it. TL;DR: Buy the MG and paint it. Skip this kit.

The reason the sale listing says "F" is because the "F" type was the standard space-use Zaku II during the OYW. This is to separate the designation from the "J" type, the ground-use version seen in 08th MS Team (Which still doesn't have a proper HG kit to my knowledge).

Thanks Randall. I was interested in making a shotgun-wielding Zaku II custom, so as long as it looks like it belongs there, it should do just fine. Thanks for the warning and advice!
