Don't listen to naysayers

An amazing kit. I had zero fragile issues or issues with the plastic. I've built this kit on 5 separate occasions for 5 different custom paint jobs. It is an excellent build and well worth the money. I hate seeing such an excellent kit get poorly rated by noob builders. People need to know how amazing this kit really is.

Frustrating Build and Fragile

One of the most frustrating builds in my experience so far. I also hate how flimsy the material feels and how the joints feel so cheap (especially in the two back shields' tails).

Don't.

Although I love the Phenex (It's a gold Gundam, for crying out loud!), do yourself a favor and avoid this kit. Although I doubted the reputation of the HG Unicorns, this kit proved they exist for a good reason. The articulation is fairly terrible on all four limbs (all are single joint), my Phenex's knee is extremely loose and can't hold any position, and the head is not a double-jointed one, instead having a hinge at the base of the neck and ball joint for the head. In addition, the tails on the Armed Armor DE's are connected by what is best described as a scuffed hinge which holds the tail together so crappily that I don't even have them attached anymore. And of course, the AADEs add enough back weight to this kit that it needs an Action Base to stand since the tails cannot support the body. Truth be told, it may just be worth it to save up and wait for the RG, even if it's PBandai and $140. It's what I'm doing now, because this kit was a disappointment.
