Question
When it says it only comes with one led, how many are in the box when it arrives? And how is this powered for the LED?
Answer
It means only one set of LEDs (enough for 6 funnels and the head) is in the box - all other items shown (kit, stand, etc) are not included. The LEDs are wired into a control board that is wired into a battery box with a switch.

Better than I expected!
The con: instructions come in Chinese, so use a visual translator app, if possible. One of the QR codes lead you to an instruction video, also in Chinese, but visually easy to follow.
The pros: connections and circuitry is "almost" unnoticeable, acrilyc parts are beautiful, and lighting work flawlessly. This kit has a central control for additional 4 systems, or kits. The power comes from either a 3x AA battery adapter, or through an USB C port.
To me, the head lighting is a very welcome bonus.
The surprising: it comes with a remote control to change the lighting patterns. I'm not using it, because it has a Bluetooth interface that allows you to manage it from a Kosmos mobile APP that automatically identifies the control module. The amount of colors and lighting patterns is amazing. I wouldn't recommend to use your "bank" mobile though, as it asks for a lot of weird permissions. Additionally, if you close the app, you have to restart the control module to get the Bluetooth established again.
Highly recommend for 1/100 Ver.Ka Nu / Hi-Nu fans.
