Simple build, cool weapons, highly paintable!
I've done three of these over the past year or so, and I've figured out that you've got to be accurate with placement and position of the small joints throughout the model. If you do that, you'll do just fine.
I think the weapons supplied in the kit are pretty cool! The leg missiles are super easy to attach! I do have a gripe about the heat hawk... They are too small to really fit inside this models fist. I had to carefully balance the hawk so it would even stay. Other wise, the choice of machine guns are primo! I'm not even mad about the lack of bazookas. Three different heads to choose from too? I think that it's worth the purchase.

yet another Zaku II
An interesting variation on the Zaku II - and I personally love the idea of the EFSF adopting the Zaku II for their own use. Good build. Some nice options - different heads as well as plenty of sticker-style marking decals. I can't say I'm a fan of the leg hoses, they like to pop off.

Fun first HG kit; some fitment issues
This was my first completed HG kit after starting with an RG kit. I used this kit to test Tamiya Panel Liner (it shows, unfortunately). It was super simple, had a couple of different choices for weapons, and turned out to be VERY posable. It's bigger than my RG X1 Crossbone but smaller than the HG Silver Bullet Suppressor I'm building in parallel. There WERE a few fitment issues...
The posable hands were very loose, so I used the Gunprimer joint tape to reinforce those.
The axe holster on the left skirt was NOT set up to stick firmly into the available slot, unlike the pair of grenades on the right skirt. I ended up trimming the tab for the slot down, but that made it worse. I used some Tamiya thin cement to get the holster (trimmed down) to stay put, and the axe seemed to be OK after everything was dry.
3. Moving the legs around may cause the hoses to pop loose. They don't snap anywhere at one end, which is why they pose so well in the first place. However, they can end up falling out with some leg poses.
I can't wait to build another Zaku. Char's Red Comet HG is in the queue.
