The Combat Armor Dougram Update Ver., a renewal version of Max Factory’s original 2014 plastic model, is back for a rerelease! Featuring brand-new parts, this updated kit faithfully recreates the unique cockpit design, large linear cannon, and massive legs of the iconic mecha.
This snap-fit model kit includes polycap joints for smooth articulation and dynamic posing, while some parts require glue. A pilot figure of Crinn can be placed inside the detailed cockpit, and a miniature figure of mechanic Huckle is also included. The kit comes with water-slide decals for authentic markings, and the box art is illustrated by Hidetaka Tenjin.

A nice looking brick
The Dougram is a beautifully color accurate model where only the vents on the side of the head need to be painted and can be easily reached by a silver or gunmetal Gundam marker, unfortunately that is where my praise for this model ends since as the heading suggests this is a total brick barely able to move its legs forward or to the sides, the torso movement is also practically nonexistent and to top it off both the elbow and knee joints cannot bend past 90 degrees and for a master grade price point all that is frankly absurd as it’s only the size of your average high grade Gundam. The three stars I gave this kit are based on the excellent design of the Dougram combat armor and how well the model recreates it while adding to it with the very good waterslide decals, ultimately though unless you are a dougram superfan I’d hold off on this kit unless it goes on a heavy discount, for the price of 49.99 you could instead get the amazing MG F91
