Flawed but still great

As mentioned in another review, I had the same issue with the head pieces needing to be cut down then glued. Also, yes, the manual issues seem to be fixed for the most part. I still love this kit, and it is really impressive. It feels like even though it’s imperfect, you can tell a lot of effort and love went into making it. SNAA has gotten much better with their newer kits, but this still holds up as solid for its price, and I recommend it if you like the design and have the shelf space. The leg and hip engineering are great too.

Excellent, but flawed

It's a great kit overall and looks amazing finished, but it's got a few minor but significant issues. Some of the fits are incredibly tight, so much so that I was worried about breaking the plastic. It appears that many of the issues with the manual from earlier versions were fixed, but there are still some places where the diagrams are incorrect, either because they appear mirrored from how they should be or because they show a component that simply doesn't exist, as in the case of the decal diagram. These didn't really cause many issues with the build, but it's still concerning. I also had an issue with two of the orange fins on the head simply not fitting in their slots. Simply sanding them wasn't enough. They needed to be substantially shaved down with a utility knife and then glued in place. Overall I enjoyed the build and it's a good value for the money, but it's a long way from perfect.
