Ace Combat ADFX-01

Model Kit
$43.98
Out of stock

From Masterpiece flight shooting game series, “ACE COMBAT."
The ADFX-01 1/144 scale joins Kotobukiya’s model kit series! Through the game’s data and PROJECT ACES’ cooperation, this kit perfectly captures the details of ADFX-01 in the game and is a snap-fit kit that doesn’t require glue to assemble.

The special weapon Multi-Purpose Burst Missile, codenamed "Hypersthene," can be removed from the pylon, and the pylon can also be removed from the base model to recreate the unarmed version of the model.
The same applies to the Tactical Laser System, code-named "Zoisite," which can also be attached and removed after it has been assembled.
Clear parts to recreate the laser beam and its attachment parts are also included so that it can be interchanged once assembled. The open/close state of the landing gear can be recreated using alternative parts.
The included mini base also comes with an attachment part that can be turned 90 degrees left or right and is compatible with rolling. With its 1/144 scale size, you can recreate various flight formations with previously released models or other aircraft models while not taking up too much space in your collection.

Questions

Question
Is this ever going to get a restock?
Answer
Better to ask Kotobukiya when a reprint is happening.

Kotobukiya are a lot slower on their restocks than Bandai (which is really saying something) but they still have the Ace Combat license and have been very slowly releasing new kits like the Falken two years ago and the Nosferatu before that, so it's just a matter of time before they get around to reprinting it; though it could take a few years as Koto usually makes really big batches of kits and then doesn't do any reprints of that kit for a few years (so when it rains it pours), as opposed to how bandai often makes smaller batches of the most consistently popular items so stores always have them in stock. This particular model hasn't been restocked in a good minute and sold out pretty quickly when it was, so I'd say it's probably close to the top of the list anyways. There's also been a lot of teases for the new in-development Ace Combat game in the past year, so I imagine whenever it's announced we'll start to see more frequent and larger reprints in anticipation of the game but that could also be a few years out.
