Show it some love
Definitely a bit of a brick, but hey, it is a heavy space-use mobile suit after all. Not gonna be a good time for newcomers or folks who just straight-build, but if you got some painting pedigree and the patience for decals it's pretty cool. Great kitbash fodder as well.

Cooler than you think!
So I wanted an older kit and decided, just based on looks, that the EX-S was the one. Right out of the box there are several runners and I was told this being an older kit, the plastics tend to mark quite easily. Not being super picky I didn't mind imperfections. So I snapped it together, cleaned up excess nubs and panel lined with a Gundam Marker. It is a good looking and imposing kit, but suffers from some inconsistent color separation and required minimal painting for accuracy. Posability is limited due to the knee bend being hampered, and the large paralyzed rear skirt. The giant "boosters" also make this extremely top/rear heavy, so an action base is a must. All in all, it's a good looking kit, and would be great choice to kitbash and customize.
