    Looks great, horrible build.

This is the first kit I've ever just quit building. The only reason I know it looks good is I gave it to my friend to finish. It's the most overdesigned kit I've ever seen. I genuinely don't know what they were thinking with the elbow joint. Nothing snaps, nothing fits, you just have to try to hold still and pray you can get everything lined up. There are so many tiny parts that just don't add detail and could have been simplified. I really wanted to paint a Rx-78 and the idea of taking this mess apart and putting it back together a second time filled was just to much for me to bear. My only good thing to say about this kit is the color separation looks great. Other than that, it just a miserable experience.

    yeah its ok i guess

I got this kit as a bonus for Christmas, and was super excited to build it and display it as my centerpiece since it was my first MG. Overall, I've had an okay time with it. The looks are absolutely fantastic, but the build is decent at least and insufferable at most, the arms are probably the most finnicky thing I've had to deal with thus far. I didn't bother with much of the gold stickers, since they're so extremely small and hard to get on, which apparently is a good call because the stickers on the back of one leg somehow got all scratched up and peeled off into the aether, never to be seen again. Gives a nice weathering effect, but not exactly what you'd want from a foil sticker you spent several minutes attempting to put on. The articulation is top notch, but is hindered by the loose and kind of fragile nature of the kit when you put it together. The skirt parts are extremely loose, the waist joint doesn't fit properly and always shows the bottom of the cockpit no matter how hard you try to hide it, and worst of all, I just couldn't get the wrist parts to attach. They just don't attach. Now I just have loose wrists flopping about however they like, which is okay, but very very annoying when the hands inevitably fall off, on top of every single finger on those hands ALSO falling off. I've also had some trouble with the v-fin flying off for no reason, extremely weak connection on that thing, be careful. Overall, I'd just say be careful with this kit in general, it might take you a while to do, and when you complete the whole thing (especially with that LED light you have to buy seperately) it's definitely a looker, but not something you'd want to play with. And I just find that sort of contradictory, considering theres so many features and accessories that are begging for you to swoosh the thing around and fight some Zakus, but it just doesn't feel stable enough for you to bother. So yeah, its ok not great wouldnt really recommend as your first MG just get the 2.0 or ver ka or something.

    Difficult

For reference, this is my second MG build done right after doing the RX-93 RG build (which I enjoyed immensely). Lots of tiny, tiny parts that do not snap together--honestly it's like two different engineers designed this kit. The top (arms, shoulders, torso) were very fickle and the instructions were not well drawn--had a similar problem with the knee gears which resulted in me having to take the leg apart to fix an issue. Frustrating is a good word for this kit. I did do a custom paint job so I'm happy with the look of the kit (it does look incredible). I didn't expect an MG to be more difficult than an RG--but the RX-93 was so much fun and I was so much happier with the end result. So, if you enjoy games like Demon Souls, this build is for you.
